The Petrillo Factor

By Richard Barbuto Editor Criminal Courts Bar Association Newsletter

In a stunning display of advocacy, Bill Petrillo has recently managed to have four cases result in outright dismissals. The cases, Grand Larceny (Suffolk County), Robbery I (Nassau County), Burglary 2 (Nassau County), and multiple counts of Assault I (Nassau County) were all dismissed as a result of Bill’s advocacy and tenacity.

Bill also won an acquittal in Queens County where his client was charged with multiple counts of Robbery I. At the end of the trial the ADA move for a remand based on the “strength of the People’s case.” The jury thought so much of the People’s case that they acquitted on all counts after two hours of deliberation.

Bill is the embodiment of the phrase Justitive Tenax.
